Are you tired of travel hassles and looking for ways to make your adventures smoother? Whether you’re on a plane or just landing at your destination, there are a few good travel accessories that you can purchase to help make your life easier while on the go.
From staying hydrated to finding the right walking shoes, these travel accessories simplify your trip and let you focus on the experience.
Best Plane Travel Accessories
A Reusable Water Bottle
A reusable water bottle is necessary for long flights and weeks away from home. Hydration is vital to feeling healthy and energized while on a plane or on the go!
A reusable water bottle will remind you to continue drinking water throughout the day, no matter where you are. Water bottles can be refilled at water stations located in various places across many airports. If you cannot find a hydration station, many restaurants will be willing to fill your bottle at no cost. My favorite one is this water bottle as it’s compact, easy to clean, and the matte finish looks so sleek!
A Quality Pair of Headphones
Headphones are essential for both daily life and travel. Investing in a quality pair of headphones will ensure you can enjoy shows and movies while blocking unwanted noises. The ones they give you on the plane are very cheap and might not even work, so it is always better to have your own.
Wallet and Passport Holder
One struggle of traveling is venturing through an airport and constantly retrieving your identification and passport from your bag. Having a delicate passport holder and wallet stored in an easy-to-reach location will ease the frustration of rummaging through your purse for your belongings.
Travel Pillow and Socks
Nothing ruins a long flight like being uncomfortable. A good travel pillow and cozy socks help you stay warm and actually get some rest. I use this inflatable travel pillow on long flights. It’s soft, supportive, easy to pack, and the washable cover makes it even better.
Toiletry Basics
After landing, you want to feel refreshed, not exhausted. A few toiletry essentials can help you beat dryness, puffiness, and fatigue after a long flight. Pack basics like a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, face wipes, moisturizer, and a brightening serum. If you have large liquid cosmetics, buy the travel-size bottle set to make sure they pass airport security.
Beauty Basics
Not only do you want to arrive at your destination feeling energized, but you also want to look fantastic! So try bringing along some bobby pins, a mini bottle of perfume, and a travel-sized BB cream to utilize in the moments before you land.
You can easily touch up your hair, add color to your skin, and smell amazing when you step off the flight. So, whether you are meeting a friend at the airport or venturing directly into the city, take the simple steps to look and feel your best. Keep it organized in the cosmetic bag. I have this one myself, and it’s very practical.
Tablet or E-Reader
A tablet or e-reader is a lightweight, space-saving device perfect for entertainment during long flights or layovers. Load it with books, movies, or shows to stay entertained on the go. I bought this Tablet for myself to read on the go, and so far, I really like it. It has a sleek, modern gray color and is nicely compact, making it perfect for travel
Travel Outfit Essentials
When traveling, you want to look fashionable while also wearing comfortable travel clothes, whether on the go or on the plane.
The following options of clothing are tried and true travel wardrobe essentials that can accommodate all the activities that take place throughout your travel day.
Walking Shoes
Nowadays, it is easy to find shoes made for activity and fashionable. Therefore, focus on finding shoes with sturdy soles and a comfortable lining.
Shoes with very flat soles or high heels will not be easy to travel in. Sturdy shoes that are comfortable for a few thousand steps will meet your traveling needs. These are my favorite shoes so far. I can walk in them the whole day and not be tired. They are so comfortable and cute at the same time.
A Pullover, a Hoodie, or a SweatshirtÂ
When traveling, you don’t want to have to transport a bulky coat, but there is an excellent chance that the airport or plane will be rather chilly. A stylish pullover, an oversized sweatshirt, or a hoodie will allow you to look trendy while remaining warm.

Leggings are the Top Choice for Women
There are many leggings and joggers available in a large variety of shapes and styles. Choose the perfect leggings and pullover combo to channel your inner athleisure fashion. Joggers or leggings are perfect for comfort and easy movement on long flights.
Must-Have Travel Items
Backpack
A good travel backpack is one of the most important travel essentials. I love my North Face Backpack so much. It was the first backpack I bought, and this purchase was very successful. I like that it can fit lots of stuff, even if it is a medium-sized backpack. It also has back support and lots of pockets for your convenience.
Travel Eye Mask and Earplugs
When you are staying in unknown places, it may be difficult to predict what the sleeping conditions will be like. For example, the walls could be thin, and the windows could allow a large amount of light to shine. Therefore, pack an eye mask and earplugs to ensure you continually get your beauty rest each night you are away.
Beauty Emergency Kit
If you are packing clothes you may wear multiple times, make sure you have an emergency kit! Bring a mini sewing kit and stain remover product, so your clothes stay in top-notch condition.
An emergency kit should also have dry shampoo, a mini perfume bottle, and a small mirror.
Tip: To ensure that you can bring the perfume onboard and it won’t be taken out of your purse because it didn’t meet the liquid requirements, buy this or a similar portable perfume bottle already approved by the airline sizes that meet the fluid rules.
Health Kit
Like a beauty emergency kit, a health kit helps ensure you are prepared for any situation. Bring along a few medicinal supplies you can utilize if you feel sick. This kit should be stocked with allergy medicine, cold medicine, motion sickness medicine, pain relievers, laxatives, and multivitamins.
Having an unexpected illness has the potential to ruin a trip. However, by coming prepared with health essentials, you can handle any obstacle that comes your way.
A Spacious Tote and a Small ClutchÂ
Make sure that you have handbags that will be useful for any activity that you take part in. In addition, a spacious tote may be needed for day trips and activities that will keep you away from your belongings for an extended period.
You will not want to carry a large tote for dinners and short outings. Instead, bring a small clutch to keep your important belongings by your side without having a large tote.
Sunglasses
Sunglasses are a must on any trip. Looking at bright sunlight all day can give you a headache or a sunburn, so it’s best to protect your eyes. I wear this brand and am pretty happy with it.
Carry-on
Never underestimate the importance of having a cute and practical carry-on luggage. I recently bought this one because I was looking for a lavender color, and I instantly fell in love when I saw it.
It’s super light, stylish, and durable. Basically, everything you need when hopping between airports. Plus, it comes with a 10-year warranty, which gives me peace of mind since I don’t have to worry about potential repairs or replacements.
Packing Cubes
Packing cubes are a total game-changer when it comes to solo traveling. Instead of digging through a messy suitcase or backpack trying to find one shirt, everything stays neatly organized in its cube. They save so much space, make unpacking at your destination easier, and even help keep dirty clothes separate from clean ones.
Packing cubes are a game-changer for solo female travelers. Everything has its place, so you don’t have to stress about finding things while getting ready or rushing for a flight. Honestly, once you start using them, you’ll never want to travel without them.
Chargers
Bring chargers for all your devices to ensure you can communicate and research as necessary. If possible, bring multiple devices to back up if one stops working.
These could include a tablet, phone, or laptop. Don’t forget to take a portable charger for your phone, as this is the most essential electronic travel accessory you should always carry with you.
Camera and Journal
While on your journey, you will want to document everything you see and all the emotions you experience! If you do not have a camera, ensure that your phone has storage to capture images on your phone.
Bring a small journal with you at all times so that you can take notes throughout each part of your experience. In addition, bringing a camera and a diary will help you remember and relive the trip for years to come. Or simply use notes ap on your phone to capture those memories.
Universal Adapter
It is nice to have a universal adapter if you travel internationally, especially to countries such as Asia or Europe. You will be able to use it anywhere and don’t have to worry that you won’t be able to charge your phone once you arrive in the country, because the outlets are incompatible with your own.
Final Thoughts
There are many factors to consider when traveling, and you want to be prepared for them all! By gathering personal travel items that will help you navigate any circumstances while in the air or on the ground, you can guarantee your trip will go smoothly.
Do not risk losing a trip day due to an uninvited emergency. Instead, take precautions ahead of time so that each day is full of excitement and joy.
